Vasanthi Bhat Vasanthi Bhat is an internationally recognized yoga teacher, author, publisher, and producer. She is also the founder of Vasantha Yoga Health and Fitness Center in San Jose, California. She has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 40 years.

Her products are appreciated in the United States and around the world. Thousands of people from all over the world are able utilize her guidance and suggestions for particular health symptoms via e-mail. Vasanthi has appeared as a guest artist in several televisions shows all over the United States.

She also conducts teachers’ training programs for her advanced students to enable them to teach yoga at various corporate facilities, health clubs and senior centers.

The hatha yoga taught by Vasanthi helps maintain and improve general health, prevent and heal stress- related ailments. Vasanthi’s specialty is teaching people how to combine asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing), and meditation so students can achieve maximum healing and a sense of well being. Her gentle hatha yoga teaching style encourages students to work at their own pace and to adopt yoga as an integral part of their lives. She has helped people relieve back pain from herniated disc, ruptured disk, slip disc and computer related stresses affecting eyes, neck, carpal tunnel syndrome, and upper body. Many were benefited for insomnia, hypertension, ulcer and other stomach disorders.

She has helped children to improve concentration, self-esteem, and eyesight and relieve disorders like allergies, asthma and fibromyalgia. Other benefits of her teaching have been healed breast lumps, healed fibroids in 8th month of pregnancy, improved coping with long existing Leukemia, controlled diabetes, reversal of heart ailment, prevention of surgery for glaucoma and cataract. Not only has her guidance helped people with physical ailments but also people with emotional setbacks. Through sharing her own experiences and incorporating meditation techniques she has helped people relieve stress, overcome depression suffered due to loss of loved ones, and develop mutual understanding and respect among people leading to resolution of long lasting misunderstandings.

In December 1996, Vasanthi was given an award at the World Convention held in India for her commendable service on yoga in United States. In February 2002, Vasanthi received “Human Relations” award by the Friends of the Human Relations Commission of Santa Clara County for her exceptional services to the community.
